Get to know Counting House
From Church plants to long established churches, we love working with all of them!
Our Story
When Counting House started in 2007, the first assignment was to help church plants get started with strong financial systems, processes and reporting. Most of the church plants transitioned to ongoing accounting work and long established churches joined the client roster.
Now we serve churches from small to large in a variety of settings and cultures each expressing and living into their unique calling and mission.
About Us
Counting House is an outsourced accounting service provider specializing in the Christian church and ministries sector.
With the help of technology, we are able to serve churches across the country.
Our Services
-
Donations
We’ll help you know which money you receive is deductible, guide you toward compliance with IRS receipt requirements, record donations in your donation and accounting systems and reconcile accounting with donation software.
-
Payment Processing
Using payment processing services (Bill, Melio, Intuit) reimbursements, honoraria and vendor invoices are paid quickly and efficiently. Send us the bill and we’ll take care of the rest.
-
Payroll
Clergy and church payroll is significantly different than other entities. We’ll facilitate payroll with a trusted, ministry focused payroll service provider.
-
Reconciliations and Reports
Reconciling bank and other balance sheet accounts is an important verification process. We’ll take care of it before generating budget comparison and balance sheet reports each month.
